I did the binding and the quilting for the quilt in the entry below. I'm calling it "Winter Logs." I have one problem with the binding -- I hit a corner just where there was some 'extra' fabric (due to piecing strips together). So, it wouldn't fit through the sewing machine. I'm going to need to put in a few handstitches to hold that corner in place. There are other issues, too, but it was good practice.

Not sure where I'm going to put this quilt. May hang it in the basement, or leave it draped on the couch somewhere.

It's really amazing how much difference the finishing touches make! Both this picture and the one down below look good, but they have very different "feels." Cool.

Yeah, I find myself consistently drawn to contrasting borders in the quilts I'm designing in software. I think it does provide a different feel than same-fabric borders do. I like using the borders to reflect a fabric that I really liked, or that I feel didn't get enough attention in the quilt. I need to post some of my designs (which I can produce much faster than I can produce quilts, of course... ).
