Dana sent me some batting to use as a design wall and I've attached it to the wall behind my sewing corner. Most of the blocks visible are from the Jo Threads project and one is a test Drunkard's Path block I tried.

So what did you think of the Drunkard's Path block?

Eh. It came out 'ok' but the way for me to do this best will be by handcranking the machine, I think. Also, I just did a very rough cutting/pinning to see if I could get the gist. And, I did not cut any notches into the edge of the concave piece, but I've read that can help.

I started thinking about the Mayflower project and decided that maybe I don't need to order fabric for it. I'm slowly growing a little stash, so I decided to look at what I have and see if any of it would work. I think I've settled on the fabrics below to make this quilt from.

That fabric with the lilacs (? I think that's the flower) on it is one of my favorites. I look at it every time I'm in the fabric store. I like it so much, I'm desiging a crocheted purse around it. Literally -- that fabric will be the lining.
