Entry permalink Stash Building -- Posted by Uncorked

I was at Jinny Beyer this weekend and bought some more fabric. I do have a project in mind for these, but I bought a bit of extra of each to do some stash building, too.

I'm particularly fond of that rust-colored fabric. Bought 5 yards! (More than 3 of which will be used in the project, if I do it, so it's not quite as extravagant as all that.)

yayy stash building. It is really nice to have a palette of fabric colors to choose from. My plan is to re-arrange my stash by color. Then I can tell by looking which colors/values I am either low on or missing. How are you storing your stash?

Right now I'm storing my fabric in various-sized plastic tubs. Next time I do some pictures downstairs I'll get a couple of my fabric tubs. My fabric is not organized at all, though. That's going to become a problem soon...

Pretty! For some reason I can't quite identify, they look like "Lyn" colors -- which is perplexing, because I thought I had you pegged as a "medium blue" person. Hmmm...

It sounds like this Jinny Beyer thing is getting to be a habit! :)

Teehee! I am complicated! ;-) (I think that blue is always a default choice for me because it's almost never offensive, but I'm trying to be more creative...)

Yes, it is an issue having a premiere fabric shop 30 minutes from my house. However, I've got enough projects to work on now that I shouldn't need to make another trip there for a few weeks.

One person has approached me about commissioning a quilt though, which would involve another trip... Heheh.

Entry permalink BOTMs Finished -- Posted by Uncorked

Ok. I've finished up the last 2 packets from the 12-packet 'Jo Threads' BOTM that L bought for me. Now it's time to go back to work on the setting kit. Here are the two pieces I finished up today. I like that block a lot; could imagine using that again in something.
