So, I delivered the Commission quilt yesterday and my client seemed happy with it. Looking at it from a step removed and without zeroing in on all the little mistakes, I think it's a very nice quilt. :)

Now the question for me is: what next? I am so relieved that quilt is done and I can just work on whatever I want now when I go down to my quilting area. I am not doing any Christmas quilts this year as gifts (3 last year was plenty), so really, things are wide open.

I've got a bunch of UFOs to work on, including the bargello placemats and the Joann BOTM that is all screwed up. I've also got a Jinny Beyer kit that includes a swatch from each fabric in her palette that I haven't even taken out of the bag.

And, I have an ill-formed idea for a baby quilt I want to do, and a well-formed idea for a gift quilt I want to make for 2005. And then there's the Christmas quilt stack-and-slash that I want to do for us. I suspect that's what I'll start on next after I clean up and organize the quilting space a bit.

And, no more commissions for a good long time. It's much too burdensome and makes quilting not fun for me.
