Neuro is now basted and quilted. All that's left is the binding to do. That shouldn't take too long.

For Christmas I received a couple of knitting books and some knitting needles. I also had a friend visiting over New Year's who knows how to knit and is lefthanded and showed me how to do a simple garter stitch. Don't have a feel yet whether I'm going to get into this like I did quilting, but it's a possibility. She tried to show me crochet, too, but I failed at that (again!), so maybe I'm just not meant to crochet. The knitting garter stitch, though, is super easy. I keep screwing up on the little 15-stitch strip of whatever that I'm working on, but still.. Pictures of that later when I get around to it.

My Hancock's order came, so I now have the batting if I want to think about finishing up the Christmas quilt. (Still need to get the fabric for the back.) Not sure whether I'll do that, or leave that until the fall (when it will be fun to work on something Christmas-y again) and tackle some of the other UFOs instead. Or I could start a new project. Although I'm not sure I'm quite ready to do that yet. Decisions, decisions.

Not to mention that my quilting space is becoming very disorganized. Too many books and magazines just piling up. Don't want to get rid of any, but need to find a better way to hold and organize them all. It may involve buying different furniture. Hmm....
