New Design - "Memory" Block -- Posted by Lyn
I was browsing through some of my quilt literature the other day looking for inspiration. I came across a block named "Memory" that I decided I liked and created the design below out of it. The quilt is a 5x5 design, even though the fabric choices suggest that it's 4x4 with a bunch of half-blocks around the edges.
One lesson I keep having to relearn is that I have no luck dreaming up designs in a vacuum. It's only when I have someone in mind that I'm trying to design a quilt for that I get any ideas at all. So yes, I did have someone in mind when creating this design. The fabric choices here are just meant to be suggestive - if I make this quilt, or some variation of it, I expect the fabrics will be different than what's here. Still, this quilt would be great for me to do, in that it would force me to learn how to be better about points.

Very pretty. I really like this design -- but as we both know, I have a thing for stars that have that little flying goose unit!!!
